NAviGPS
The Navi GPS (GT-11) is a small, rugged, hand held GPS unit suitable for use in just about any environment. It is waterproof and can even float!
All the GPS Features
The NaviGPS (GT-11) provides a feature rich, easy to use, yet comprehensive GPS unit. You can view all the relevant information about your trip: average speed; top speed; distance covered (on the current trip); overall distance covered; and trip time. You can set warnings; if you exceed a certain speed, or approach a certain point, a buzzer will sound. You can see what heading you are on; what the bearing is (of a point you selected); departure time; arrival time; time and distance to the next point of your trip; etc. Various grid references are supports, including OSGB Grid reference format, specifically for the UK. The NaviGPS is very light in weight, waterproof, and floats. Its battery will last for ages - up to 32 hours! It's very affordable and packed with all the features of a much more expensive GPS unit. The GT-11 can record up to 2GB of tracks on a SD memory card. Please use only Transcend 1GB and 2GB cards, and Sandisk 512MB,1GB and 2GB cards. These cards are rated at 2.8v. Other SD cards work on 3.3v, and therefore don't work with the GT-11. It can be connected to a computer via the USB port. Data (tracks, waypoints etc.) can be uploaded to the computer from the GPS or from the GPS to the computer. The other version of the NaviGPS, the BGT-11, has Bluetooth, which is a very convenient way of connecting a GPS to a PC or PDA. Charging of the battery can be done via the supplied mains power supply, optional car charger, or the USB port of the computer.
Speedsurfing
A lot of customers worldwide use the GT-11 and BGT-11 for speed surfing, recording world record attempts. When using the GT-11 or BGT-11 while on the water, please use it in combination with an AquaPac. Although the specifications state the unit is waterproof, it needs the protection of a waterproof bag. The Aquapac also protects the GPS from wear. Look out for the special offer on the GPS page with a GPS+Aquapac bundle.
